Prayers to the Holy Spirit
Dear Holly,
Do you know of any prayers to the Holy Spirit? I can find lots for Jesus and the Father and Mary, but none for the Third Person of the Blessed Trinity...

Two of my favorites:
For every day and every minute:
"Come Holy Spirit,
Come by means of the powerful intercession of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Your well-beloved spouse."
(This comes from the Marian Movement of Priests)
For tense-gotta-know-right-now type situations:
"Come Holy Spirit, soul of my soul, I adore you.
Enlighten, guide, strengthen and console me.
Tell me what I ought to do, and command me to do it.
I promise to be submissive to all that you permit to happen to me.
Show me only what is Your Will" (X3)
(This is the Cardinal Mercier prayer)
I learned this prayer long ago (in junior high).
/Come Holy Spirit,
/Fill the hearts of your faithfull and enkindle in them the fire of your love.
/ You sent forth your Spirit and things are created,
/ And you shall renew the face of the earth.
/ Let us pray: Oh God, You taught the hearts of your faithful by sending your Holy Spirit. In that same Spirit give us your right judgment and the joy of your consolation. We ask this through Christ Our Lord.
/Amen
This prayer to the Holy Spirit comes from the "Christ Renews His Parish" manual. Hope it blesses you!
Come, Holy Spirit.
Replace the tension within us with a holy relaxation.
Replace the turbulence within us with a sacred calm.
Replace the anxiety within us with a quiet confidence.
Replace the fear within us with a strong faith.
Replace the bitterness within us with the sweetness of grace.
Replace the darkness within us with a gentle light.
Replace the coldness within us with a loving warmth.
Replace the night within us with Your day.
Replace the winter within us with Your spring.
Straighten our crookedness.
Fill our emptiness.
Dull the edge of our pride.
Sharpen the edge of our humility.
Light the fires of our love.
Quench the flames of our lust.
Let us see ourselves as You see us,
That we may see You as You have promised us,
And be healed according to Your word.
