God is an Attitude-Change Away...
"Let us take two ordinary people. One is wholly worldly, the other spiritual, yet the demands made upon them are equal. Yet the one acheives eternal happiness because he submits gladly to [God's] holy will, but the other damns himself because, given the same tasks, he undertakes them with a sullen reluctance. Their hearts are very different.
Now, you who read this...must realize that I am asking nothing extraordinary from you. All I want is for you to carry on as you are doing and endure what you have to do -- but change your attitude to all these things. And this change is simply to say "I will" to all that God asks... By this obedience we shall become one with God."

Our time here is meant to grow in intimacy with God, and there is one simple way to do this - the heart of a Mother's Rule.
Every duty, interaction, and demand of our mothering vocation is what God asks of us. So , first we need to actually "do it" - to do the housework, prayer time, each need of the 5 Ps. I think Fr Caussade takes this as a 'given', that we are fulfilling our basic responsibilities.
But secondly, we need to do it in a way that is fruitful - as a response to the call of God. We can obey him with every task we do, by simply posing the next duty as a request from God and saying Yes. With a heart eager to please or to love.
Simple. We can all do this. "Jesus, I do this for love of you... change my heart... bring me closer to you." It's a matter of attitude and motivation.
