Busy Moms Praying Always
"Who is able to repeat the praises of God all day long? Who can persevere in praising God all day long? I suggest to you a means with which you can praise God all day, if you want. All you do, do well, and you have given praise to God."
St Augustine, as quoted in "Testimony of Hope" by Francis Xavier Nguyen Van Thuan, Pauline Books & Media, Boston, 2000, p120

We have our scheduled prayer times which is good. But Jesus invites us to "Pray always". When we realize that every action we do in our homes is a response to God's direct request by virtue of our vocation, then every action can also be a moment of Fiat. With Mary, we too say "Yes! Behold the handmaid of the Lord." So every dish we clean, every face we kiss, every bill we pay can be done well, recollecting our hearts and offering self and task to the Lord - "For you, Jesus, for you..." This is deep prayer, simple prayer...
